Frog's Leap Chardonnay 2015 Napa Valley

Precise, crisp flavors, a mouthfeel without weight all with intriguing aromas of toasted hazelnuts, cream and white peaches. This wine is simply delicious and so unlike typical “fruity, sweet, oaky” California Chardonnays.

Frog's Leap Winery is happily ensconced at the historic Red Barn property in Rutherford. This grand and welcoming building was originally built as a winery in 1884. It is now not only home to some of the Napa Valley's best wines but also to what has to be the wine world's best motto - "Time's fun when you're having flies!" Frog’s Leap has been producing utterly delicious wines since 1981. Founder John Williams is an old-school California winemaker who knows how important work in the vineyard is to their end-product. Determinedly organic and dry-farmed, they may be based in Napa – but they produce anything but jammy, over-sized, over-oaked wines allowing the fruit and refined flavours to show.
